Aged 22 months in one-fourth new French oak, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Champoux Vineyard (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) has a juicy, youthful vibe that carries plenty of mulberry and bright cherry fruits as well as notes of leafy tobacco, cedar, and earth. Medium-bodied and balanced, with bright acidity and a clean finish, it's another beautifully balanced, elegant wine in the lineup. It should have 10-15 years of longevity.

An instant success, the 2018 Champoux Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is complex, layered and expressive with notions of ripe black cherry skin, dark plum, dusty black raspberry, hints of redcurrants, crème de cassis, subtle red flowers and hints of brown baking spices. Medium-bodied, the Cabernet compresses on the palate to show its complexity with its tighter frame, succulent acids and fine-grained tannins. Showcasing focus and precision, there is no lack of complexity as the wine concludes with a delightful and lingering finish. 5,904 bottles were made after the wine rested for just under two years in all French oak, 25% first fill. Give it a try.
